We had nearly 2" last evening. 'Supposed to get more tonight, but I think it's going to miss us. Amazing how the plants perk up after some rain and lightning! Smelled so good last night. Just muggy now.

edited to add: We've had another 1 1/2" tonight with lots of lightning. I was just about to send the garden club newsletter and had to turn off the desk computer where all the addresses are. Guess it can wait until tomorrow! So much lightning, I didn't trust the surge protector. We're on a hill, but there's a flood watch for the lower part of our subdivision where Barton Creek flows. Still raining a bit, but lightning's gone.

Grateful for the rain. Now they say we may get a "cold front."
