My lilies are always planted close and it never seems to hurt anything. I have moved lilies right after they flower many times, bulb and stems and all but waiting would probably be better.

It seems I always manage to get into a project in the garden. Here is the area my daylilies came out of and that I will plant tomato seedlings.
