Generally, indoor plants aren't exposed to a lot of humidity due to the way most heating and cooling units work. I made the assumption that your plant is currently indoors. Is that incorrect? Baja is correct about light. In the winter months, providing sufficient light is nearly impossible here. I try to discourage active growth as much as possible because growth under lower light is weak and slender and usually can't manage conditions when it returns to the outdoors in spring. My C. ovata is always reluctant to go into dormancy. Currently it's forming buds and bending toward the insufficient light it has this time of year. It has received no water since it was moved indoors a few weeks back. The visible stress is from lack of light, not lack of moisture. Humidity is pretty low inside here and it quit shedding leaves a week or so after coming indoors.
