Kaktus said: Sorry about your lost Tiffany, without experience at all for winter, I am thinking that will it be a better option if we just lift and clean the whole plant, then hang it bare root inside for it to go dormant and sleep? I think last year someone in Agave or aloe forum ever mentioned that he used this method to over winter the agaves, not very sure.

If kept bare root they still have to be wrapped with something warm so that they will not freeze. The adeniums (and plumerias) body has water it is susceptible to freeze.

My camping tent idea kept my desert roses above freezing temps, the low inside the tent was only 37.5 degrees for 2 hours. So the big ones made it fine. I dare not visit Lowe's during the cold week because I have a bad habit of rescuing them and I have no place to put them anywhere.

Edited to add: Our outside low registered at 31 degrees.
