Well, after adding so many daylilies last year and the year before, I have no plants ordered for this year. I am currently at 545 named cultivars and over 600 seedlings and that is more than I am capable of managing without overloading myself. So I need to try my best to reduce down to as close to 500 registered plants as I can by culling some of the under performers this year(something we all seem to find so hard to do for some reason). Our club will have guest speakers Jan., Feb., and March this year, they will normally bring plants to auction or sell. I will mostly likely attend the region 14 regional in Mississippi and the National in Tennessee this year so two more great buying opportunities plus I always enjoy doing a few trades.
So even with consciously trying to cut back and not ordering any plants for 2023, the number of buying opportunities will probably result in my having a very difficult time in actually making noticeable reductions in the number of plants I have.
