Wow, this thread was started over two years ago, and this plant has never received any reviews until now. Well, I'm going to rectify that today! Smiling

I received three clumps of Bradley Hardy in the fall of 2021 as a bonus with a large daylily order. I had requested it as my bonus plant based on the comment left by someone from Louisiana in the plant's database entry. I was hoping for a good replacement for Buttered Popcorn, which I had gotten rid of because of rust problems. According to the specs and pictures, Bradley Hardy had a similar color and height.

I have been pleased with Bradley Hardy. Two of the three plants bloomed in late May, and to my surprise, they both threw a bunch of poly blooms. The blooms were old-fashioned looking and lacked the substance of Buttered Popcorn but were a very pretty bright gold in color. The two plants that bloomed developed some rust late in the season but then seemed to shrug it off. The third plant, which I had in a different bed, never bloomed (I don't think it had enough sun), but it never showed any rust, either. (That one I ended up trading to a forum member who was looking for more polys). The plant did not rebloom, but I wasn't expecting that as it is not listed as a rebloomer.

Bradley Hardy is a nice older cultivar that deserves to be grown in more gardens.
