Great tip! I'm glad it popped up on my random articles. I've gone over to mini blinds, too, and I try to do 2 labels and bury one of them. Sharpie works, but you need to get the Extreme Sharpie markers. It used to be Industrial Sharpie that was good for outside, but they scrambled the formula and split off the Extreme version.

I get mechanical pencils with 1.3mm leads. I need something easy to read! I hated mechanical pencils until I discovered these. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077Q4B6YN/

Laser jet labels on clear labels also lasts a long time, although I've been known to use those on the front of a metal label and jot a quick variety name on the back in pencil. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00004Z6UV/
