Re: members listing their country/state/province/zone in their profile: Many folks prefer to share as little personal information as possible on internet platforms, which is understandable with all the spam and scams happening nowadays.
If a member uploads a photo of a plant that you really like and are curious to know if it will grow outdoors in your zone, you could check our plant database which is accessible at the top of every page. I know that not all entries have complete data listed but many have at least some information and will probably show the hardiness zones. You can also ask on the particular thread and I'm sure other members will be able to let you know whether the plant would be advisable for your zone or not.
