Is this a type of sedum and if yes, does anyone know it's name?Thumb of 2012-07-17/jojoe/c47178

A friend of the family passed away and her husband was giving away her plants to people they knew but her had no idea what they are. There was about 8 boxes of this plant,i only got one.

I also have a sedum donkey tail that broke.Do i just stick it in some soil?I have a picture of what's happening to the plant, maybe somebody can tell me if it's caused by to much or to little water etc...

I just stuck it into this bucket of soil with cutting's i got of our late friends plants, she had mostly succulents. The donkey tail on the side of the bucket, had a stem to stick into the soil because of the way it broke.

This is the limb that broke. There are others that look like they may do the same. What should i do,stop doing etc...Do they root easily this way and will the stem left in pot dry up,then should i do anything to it or just leave it.

I have a small strawberry pot i want to get some more of this plant to put in it but i first have to learn to grow them.Any good web sites or links to info on caring for & growing them would be appreciated.

thanks in advance
A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
