I bagged blossoms once about 20 years ago and soon quit. Rarely are my saved seeds shared and if they are shared a non-bagged message is included. With saved seed regrown in my own garden so far as I can tell without DNA testing there has never been a serious cross contamination. A regular leaf has given a potato leaf, vise versa or maybe a size difference. I agree with the 95% true. My plants are 3 feet apart and in all the years I rarely see pollenating insects in the tomato blossoms.

Hybrid seeds are not a problem since none have been invading my gardens for a whole lot of years. My peppers are mostly hybrids and they are notoriously promiscuous so no attempt is made to save those rascals.

I have shared seeds but only those who have come from a reputable seed seller to help me reduce inventory or get rid of seeds showing some age that will not be in the plans to grow for a while...or ever.
