My Brother, at least 13 years ago planted 4 David Austen roses next to the garage.

I did my best to take care of them but with-in four years they all went belly-up; I have no idea where he got them or why.
First two years they did well to fairly well but then their demise was quick (I did cover them and as then there was a car in the garage {i.e. that kept the garage and its foundation warmer all winter} .

This was back when I put a lot of time, and I do mean a lot of tim,e in the South gardens and all involved, so if yours go belly-up, not unusual.
