I have a linden in my front yard and cannot touch it as someone signed for a city planted tree program 20 or 40 years ago. You cannot trim it and keep it to the reasonable size and if you ask for it from the city they are refusing to do it. All over Europe trees are trimmed to be manageable, but not here. They want trees to reach their full potential, but we are in the city with limited root space, high winds, power lines, cars and humans. This is trench warfare against tree owners here and the city has an upper hand.
