purple: I love your porch and how you have plants hanging at different levels as well as those on the floor along the edge of the porch! I know what you mean about being too hot to sit outside this time of year ... we've had many weeks with 90ยบ+ temperatures and it's not even August yet! The heat has really limited my time outside and I'm really looking forward to a cooler fall season!
Well, I don't have a front porch but I do have a back porch/deck and when the weather isn't so hot I really enjoy it early in the morning and in the evenings when the mosquitos aren't active. We are preparing to have part of our porch/deck screened and I can't wait. Early morning is my favorite time of day when I enjoy sitting out on the deck with my coffee or tea, watching and listening to the birds. I miss having some place to hang my hanging baskets, so for the time being they are hanging in the trees. After part of the deck is screened my husband is going to install some horizontal poles for me to hang plants from. Here are a couple of pictures of my "porch":
