I had this daylily in my garden from 2008 until 2018. I don't recall any rust, the scapes were sturdy and it bloomed about three weeks between mid-June and the first week of July in my zone 6b garden.

6/19/2011, 5pm - This photo was take 3 years after purchasing and it is still only a few fans. By the time I got home from work in the evening, the blooms were curled from being in the sun all day.

Back when there was a local daylily farm in the area, I would try to buy some of the Stout Silver Medals because I thought if it won a medal, it must be a great daylily. However, this one never flourished for me. Registered at 28" tall, it did look nice sitting well above the foliage.
6/26/2014 - mid morning pics seemed to show it at its best.

In September 2016, it sent up a rebloom scape, but for some reason I never got pictures of it in bloom. This rebloom scape shows good branching, but I don't know what the bud count would have been.

The longer I had it, the less I liked it because I realized I don't care for chicken fat edges. While this one doesn't have extensive amounts of it, I still didn't like it.

Several of my pictures show a little sculpting going on even though it isn't listed in the description of the plant. But I'm wondering if it could be one of the forerunners to the many sculpted varieties as seen in 'Behold and Believe' (Ed Brown x Wonder of It All). Maybe that is why Ed Brown has so many children.
