Nan, I'm so glad you commented on this one because I had it marked that I had reviewed it, but I only commented on it.

This will be the 5th year for Substantial Evidence in my garden and it hasn't done very well, but I think that is because it sits under the eastern redbud tree. Consequently, I haven't taken many pictures of it.

The many shades of Substantial Evidence always maintain that flat face and nice substance. I love it when it is lighter and that green throat shows up.

It sits next to Buttered Popcorn and they are both about the same height, usually about 3 feet tall and both sit well above the foliage. I've not seen rust on either.

This picture kind of shows the two-way branching and about 10-bud count. It does have sturdy scapes, which is a must for me.
