I have "inherited" some plants from a friend who passed away, when her husband realized he didn't know how to tend to them & they were dying off.I have potted them, but now have some questions about the way i potted them.Just want to ask the questions i found myself asking when i was potting them and ended up kind of guessing.

First i have had them in pots for 2 days.I noticed today a few have fell over. Can i cut them at the soft spots and reroot them,if so how just stick them in some damp only damp well draining soil??
I also read some where not to water succulents for a week after potting. These are plants that weren't healthy or well cared for in the beginning. So not watering probably caused these plants to collapse.I am going to water the rest just a little, they are in the middle of a central Georgia summer, high 90's-100 degree's.
Here are picture's of the ones I'm trying to save.

A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
