Why don't we have a specific section for cactus and succulent gardens in Northern latitudes? We have different and hardier species that are acclimated here.
I took several pictures today of various species putting out new pad buds and also a few buds for blooms. All of these plants stay outside one hundred percent of the year.
Excuse all the grass and weeds!

A few second year baby Opuntia that came from seed grown naturally in the garden.
