At this time, it's hard for me to believe I'll ever buy another rose from Vintage Gardens. I enjoyed walking over there and picking out my own plants when they had their retail outlet, but too many of the ones I've received by mail have failed to thrive or have turned out to be mislabeled. Besides, I think I already have all of the ones I want in their catalog. I bought some last year because they had those new ones from Eurodesert, but now it's always the same old lists. As for the custom rooting, good luck with that. I'm still waiting for the Caprice I ordered in May 2009. If it hasn't rooted successfully in more than 3 years, how long do you suppose it's going to last in my garden?
