My understanding is that the 'Emma Cook' pattern is independent of plicata genetics.

'Tagline' and 'Easy as Pie' are not plicatas, but 'Partisan' almost certainly is (it's not listed as one, but one of its parents is a plicata and the other is at least a plicata-carrier, if not a plicata itself).
