I found some plants that i absolutely fell in love with.I then noticed this forum which the tag on the plants i bought said Portulaca.I bought 3 plants that look different but were all labeled Portulaca.I will post pictures of the 3 plants.

I have some questions besides the true ID of the plants and the difference in them. Are they in the same family maybe to all be labeled the same.2 of the plants are hanging baskets and you can tell they are at least in the same family,if not the same plant and 1 has just had more sun than the other.I know a lot of plants will turn or get a reddish or Orange hue when in full sun, while the same plant will stay green when not in full sun.I want to put these plants in a bed.I try to buy plants that reseed themselves good.I have MS and collecting seeds isn't easy for me,i'm not lazy but if i do deal with seeds i try to only deal with ones that take minimal work and i can just spread them on the ground and then only have to cover with a little peat or soil,MS really limits what i can do and i will be the first to admit i over do it as it is.I'm stuck inside today because I worked outside all day sat.and some sun.then i done house work the rest of sun. Shrug!

What will these plants do once planted in a bed, mound, run etc...?Do they do well in the ground or better put in big pots for outside and if kept in a pot how do they do inside in winter?Any tips will be greatly appreciated!!!

A green thumb comes only as a result of the mistakes you make while learning to see things from the plants point of view!!
