And then there is the oldie but goodie, Vanity, which is still ranked #55 in the annual Tall Bearded Symposium after all these years. It was introduced in 1975. It has fewer ruffles than modern irises, but oh, what a beauty! Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Vanity') . It's a true pink.

And if you like a little glowing peach in your pink, consider Beverly Sills. It's still ranked #23 in the above- mentioned poll, despite having been introduced eons ago in 1979. Tall Bearded Iris (Iris 'Beverly Sills') .
