I have childhood memories of huge red clumps of perennial Oriental poppies in my mom's gardens in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan [close to the border of Canada]. I would love to have an Oriental poppy in my Salem, Oregon flowerbed and am curious if anyone is growing them successfully in the Willamette Valley.
I thought I would revisit this wish as we are having colder and longer winters the past few years with cooler summers. Anyone?
