Hello everyone!

New person here but not to gardening. 👋
This season has been the season of firsts for us. This year we decided to try a raised bed for our vegetables. We have the room for open gardens (plus had them for many years) but due to my health issues & sister + mother in law having them as well, we decided to do a test trial with raised gardening to see if we'd be able to add more beds in the following seasons.

Our bed isn't the conventional type that usually comes to mind. Basically my husband took leftover materials (safe for plants) from work & recycled them into our very interesting•but•works•amazingly garden bed. We have 2 Better Boy & 1 Early Girl tomato plants that were bought & planted.
So what's are these other firsts? I may brag, I mean add that I grew lettuce and cucumber from seeds. 😏
So far, so good! I see more interesting•but•works•amazingly raised beds in our future. **Photobombed by Spencer, the spoiled Great Dane.**
