I'm new here and fairly new to Plumeria. I have been successful and own a 4 feet tall plant that I brought back after a bad freeze two years ago. But my problem is a new red plumeria cutting brought home from Honolulu. It has been rotting. Crying It was doing really well, 8-10 leaves, 3-4" of new growth from early spring up until about a month ago. Then we had weeks of almost nonstop rain and I didn't know to pull it out of the rain. At the first sign of rot, I unearthed and cut off the blackened end Sad all the way up to healthy, firm stock. But I didn't let it callous. Yesterday, I looked at it again and found more rot at the base. Grumbling I cut it back yet some more. I am down to a 4" cutting now, with tiny sprouts at the tip, letting it callous after applying rooting hormone powder. Does it stand a chance?? TIA
