Hi I'm new and stumbled upon this topic. We back up to a forest and are lucky to get some morning sun in some places in our back yard. Because of this, I find I can grow some full sun items for example Sweet potato vine and it grows MUCH slower than in the sun when it practically takes over. Still I am limited to foliage, begonia and impatiens. Blinking I do have some canna in our pond and believe it or not, it does bloom, just not as much as if in full sun. Still, I love my shady spot during blazing hot Texas days.
