Don't know if it's demographic, but "more than one way to skin a cat" is something I heard growing up, in Manitoba, so if it's a Southern "thang" than it's also a Manitoba "thing" Rolling on the floor laughing
Speaking of demographics....... in Manitoba, "dainties" are baked squares brought to a baby shower or the like. In Ontario, "dainties" are a woman's undergarments!
