I'm wondering if we could add a characteristic indicating a plant goes dormant. This would be very helpful for cold climate growers of tropical/sub-tropical plants. I don't know how this should be noted, or if different types of dormancy should be noted in differing ways. Zantedeschia, Colocasia, Xanthosoma and Caladium all go dormant and so are ideal candidates for dry winter storage. I just found out Synandrospadix vermitoxicus also goes dormant so of course I had to get one. Thanks to the knowledgeable folks here I was able to finally overwinter some Canna which apparently go semi-dormant and require some minimal moisture.
