Just an idea, Ursula - tomorrow or whenever you water next take along your magnifying glass, and look for the baby snail while the plant is wet.

For me the snails only make an appearance in the morning or evening when things are wet (after rain in the afternoon, sometimes but they like the cool weather). Too many hiding places on that plant for that tiny guy! Yikes.

Another big flush of blooms on the Den. crumenatum, Thunderstorm Orchid. We did have a couple of good thunderstorms a few days ago but it's still amazing how often this baby puts out flowers. It was just coming into bloom when I got home from my trip on June 1st, as well.
