I'm fine; just hunkered down avoiding the heat of the day. I spend a lot of time fretting about the water restrictions; we were on "emergency drought indoor use only" for a couple of weeks, and my gardens went into a deep decline. I gave away a lot of plants to friends who have wells rather than watch them die. I'm now allowed to hand water from 7 - 10 in the morning or 7 - 10 at night. And I could run a sprinkler once every two weeks on Friday. But I won't - I'll stick with doing it by hand. There are some people who cheat - and, of course, the golf course and car washes have exceptions. But it is troubling to see all the new housing developments going up when the water system is already this stressed. A good rain sure would be appreciated right now.
Thanks for thinking of me, Anne. Y'all stay cool out there! Pray for rain.
