I moved this 50+ year old historical cultivar to MI in 2020 as it didn't really care for TX sand and heat. Last year was the best so far [we are 'abnormally dry' this year] where it met the registered size and scape height. Shorter this year with the drought. Again last year [2022] it had up to 27 buds and 5 way branching [no registered data], so the potential is there given the right conditions. A front of the bed plant at 18". Blooms mid-3rd week of July on the shoreline. The photo following shows the halo as described in the registration [2022 picture]
