Thanks, Vic. Our garden keeps me going. Just have to maintain my stability out there. As said, not a good idea to fall on a stake!
Thanks, Terri. I do dwell on garden phlox, hence a lot of the summer colour. As previously said, I feel I do garden for (changing) colour. Think the garden in spring is pretty nice. It's in the fall that things colour-wise really drops off. The rabbits attacking the beautiful fall aster, throughout the growing season, are the problem there.
Arlene, currently we seem to be having some rain just about daily. No complaints from me (or the perennials). Does sometimes stop me getting out there to fix things.
I realize that there's so much more to the Impressionist founder, Monet, than just his paintings of his garden at Giverny, but I greatly admire the way he was able to capture the light and colour, there and then, making it permanent in over 300 paintings of the garden. (Monet, himself, was a very knowledgible gardener and initially the work, on his garden, was done by Monet and his seven step-children).
