Jey, I can't recall exactly how much rain we had in late Winter through early Summer. Seems to me we had a fairly wet Spring. I should start keeping track on my calendar as the only other way I'd be certain is to go back through the Weather threads here. We did have periods of dry spells, followed by very wet, and I think it was much colder through May than usual. I say that because I wasn't able to plant vegetables until after Memorial Day and I can usually "fudge" it a bit and get them in mid-May. June was warmer and July has been hot and humid. Last December was fairly mild with the exception of some "shocks" to the gardens when we dipped way below zero several nights during the month. I think it was also pretty dry through last Fall, and I think everything has combined to wreak havoc on the daylilies. Working in the biggest garden today I could see new growth emerging on plants I thought were goners so maybe they will recover yet.
