I have kept a few different peace lilies for years.
The red pot is a type I'm very cautious about. I find plants just don't like them. With typically only one center hole, they clog easily. And they just don't breathe at all.
If, my plant, I would take it out and plant in a smaller cheap nursery pot (plenty of holes) in fresh potting mix. As said, it doesn't need a lot of bright light. Depending on your location, 'plenty of sun' on an indoor windowsill may be just fine. Most of all, it needs your patience to let it be, not overwater (might not neeed it once a week). And just observe.
Plant it and they will come.
