I dont know everything or hardly anything about glads other then what i said. I do know that plants are funny things and i dont thing it is all "they have a green thumb" I think some plants can and do adapt to there area just like humans do. I have seen and disused this on many occasions

First plants do evolve just try to kill a weed that has been killed for years with one chemical sooner or later it becomes resistant to that chemical.
Second If a smaller supplier finds some kind plant that seems more resistant to disease or to cold they JUMP on the wagon and say its cold hardy or disease resistant. It might not be always it might be just a year or two of good luck.

Third and most important of all ....If someone claims to know it all i listen , hear , and say thanks turn my back and walk away!!!
