I decided to prune our oldest japanese maple tree on our property. It is an acer palmatum "red dragon".
We did purchase it in a container 42 years ago. It was already approx. 10 years old then. We decided to train it upright to an extent.
Was in need of a good thinning out ( to my eye's) so here is the result
