They are 2' long coconut lined planters.
Keeping them lite the soil has at least 50% perlite.

I installed hooks in the wall to easy take them down.

I water them every other week by taking them off the wall to water them.

I also wondered if the soil in planter keeping moisture would be good next to the wall. I cut corrugated plastic sheets to cover the back of the planter to form a vapor barrier to the wall. The planters have been there for 4 years now without showing any problems of moisture.
