I am in the process of making tomato soup to can. I got this recipe from my BFF. I have never made it before so am scared and excited at the same time. The 15# of tomatoes are washed, cored, cut in 4ths and cooking. I pureed 2 onions, 3 stalks of celery, and a bell pepper and added them to the tomatoes. Now it has to cook for 1 hour and then I am suppose to put it thru the sieve. I am going to head outside to write names on Iris rhizomes that I dug up yesterday and will run in and stir every so often.
