If you want to save the plant and the instructions I gave earlier in the other thread do not appeal to you

then you can try cutting all the heads off and letting it recover by rebranching (and now at the start of fall would be an ideal time to do this). You might try taking one of the heads that you remove and spending some time cleaning it, and start it is a cutting on the side, somewhere else. Really get in between all the leaves with soapy water or just a strong jet of tap water. Maybe spend some time in the sink spreading each individual leaf to remove bugs that might be hiding out there.
