You're right. I should've specified a location. The pics were taken near Missouri Valley, Iowa back in 2015. They are apparently in Iowa and Nebraska, according to usaspiders.com. I really wish I had taken pics of the top of the spider. Aren't there several kinds of orb weavers in the midwest?
