I am heading into my second winter with them, so I have had 2 harvest seasons with them. I'm now at 5 hives, briefly had 6 hives, but it was just a tad too much right now...

I got 23 gallons of honey this year after only ~7.5 last year....

Before I moved to Ohio, I couldn't have them on my property in PA if I wanted to sell any, but my neighbor would have made it difficult to keep them...

btw, I'm now up to 8 gallon batches of mead... well, 6 one gallon batches, and 2 1.4 gallon batches...

Side note: One of them is a capsicumel (spicy mead) using chocolate scotch bonnet peppers I grew where I originally got the seeds to from a prior swap, so that is kinda cool. ;)
