I am not sure, but I think root colors are more a product of the health of the plant and the conditions of the soil they grow in. I have dug plants and noticed that some of them do have an orange tint to the roots, but I have never thought of that as being a trait linked to a particular cultivar, but I do suppose it could possibly be.
