I am convinced that flip-flops and scuffs are extremely dangerous for seniors. With no heel, it's just too easy for them to come off your feet and cause a fall.
I have a narrow heel, "medium" toe-box area, high flexible arches, and non-diabetic neuropathy and chronic plantar fasciitis in the feet. This year I discovered the Brooks Glycerin 20 athletic shoes. They have good support, are very cushy, and minimize my pain. Ask to try them! I got mine at Dick's Sporting Goods. They have the widest selection of athletic shoes of anywhere around here.
