I find I forget to scroll back through the list to find the entry I just added and select the green check to add it to the swap before moving on to a new one painfully often. It just occurred to me that something like that might help.
I completely understand. I also wanted it to automatically enter it into the swap the first few swaps I did. Unfortunately, it is not under my control (you would have to summon the wise Dave for this one), but it is actually like that for a good reason. A number of people belong to more than one swap and so when you add seeds, you are essentially adding them to your pool of seeds and then the secondary step of check-marking them green tells the system how to divvy them up amongst the different swaps you participate in. I agree, it can be a bit confusing or tedious, but the secondary step of checking seeds for a particular swap does have a good rationale behind it.
I imagine that in future years there may be an easier way to add all of our seeds and have them automatically go into the swap you are currently prepping for, but
@dave is a busy guy and it takes a lot of time to program something like that. I've been laying low a bit the last few years with requests because he has done so much for the seed swaps in the past, but...maybe this is a good year to send a request for him to look into a possible update.
One suggestion is to have a scrolling page that is unending or that allows you to add info on at least 10 or 20 packets of seeds and submit them to the swap in a single batch? (Maybe a radio button at the top that says 'submit these seeds to ________ swap and make them ready'?)
