@LorettaNJ: I tried to find out where the "hip" comes from for these, but Rosa moyesii did pop up as the example that you mentioned in their Wikipedia entry.

@NMoasis: You don't have to post on any of my threads if you don't want to. Nobody does, that takes exception. I like what I like and you likewise. It's that simple. I do try to take on board what people say, but in the end for me it's just the flowers that matter, I'm not in it for anything else.

@sooby: The trouble with communities is there always seems to be hierarchy of intolerance as some use knowledge to suppress others. But you are right, I just like the flowers. Simple and thanks for asking.

I'm not here to take abuse from anybody, so, unless you can identify the plant then you're wasting your time and neither of us want that.
