Another seed pod on my trumpet ginger popped today! MORE SEEDS! I'm so excited to share these! I can't say enough what a delightful houseplant this is and how enamored I am with the scent of the flowers.
Keep in mind, I have a super sniffer and migraine, so generally scent is my worst nightmare. There are some plants whose *foliage* is too smelly for me (looking at you, string of dolphins, you little stinkers).
So it's almost unthinkable that not only is the scent not painful, but I really like it. Also the sap/nectar and even the pollen smells a bit like cucumber. Every part of the plant smells so good. It's no wonder it's threatened by over harvesting for perfume!
Anyway, looks like I'll be adding more packets soon.
