I cannot help with the id. Sorry.
I do hope you took your cutting with permission.
Just imagine a world where every one that visits private gardens, public park helps themselves to a chunk of a plant.
In the past I have seen a plant in a private garden, that I have wanted a cutting off....I have asked the owner who have generously given me a cutting. FOC.
In UK it is against the law to even dig up wild flowers.
Quote..."Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, it is unlawful to uproot any wild plant without permission from the landowner or occupier"
This is done to hopefully stop thieves from digging up bulbs such as the UK native bluebell. Hyacinthoides non scripta, to sell for profit.
Many plants are now rare and in danger of vanishing for ever....In may countries it is now even illegal to collect the seeds unless you have a permit.
Rant over!
