I have Janet Carnochan, which produces very nicely formed, fragrant blossoms with good regularity. It never seems to have more than two blossoms to offer, but it almost always has one. Moonstone is another white. Only in cool weather is the famous blush edging evident, and I find that the blossoms blow a little faster than I'm used to for HT roses; but it's a vigorous, stout bush that makes a great garden plant. My recollection was that Shocking Blue came from Palatine; sadly, I don't see it on the list this year.
Pope John Paul II is on my wish list, not sure whether he'll make it into the garden this year.
I'm looking for a hybrid tea rose that can replace MAAB. What I like about MAAB is the dark pink color that somehow manages to be strong but not over-saturated. I like that MAAB is pretty generous with blooms, once established. And MAAB can have good fragrance. But I did not prep the area for MAAB when I bought it and the rose is not doing as well as I'd like. In any case, I'm considering Buxom Beauty and Beverly. Any advice?
