I received a large DF of Key to My Heart from Keast Daylilies in September of 2021.
I love this plant. I bought it for its excellent rust resistance score, which it has earned here. The foliage is always healthy-looking, and the blooms are uniform and perfect. I have not seen the canoeing complained of above. I love the color--a deep rose with pink edge. It has a similar look to Roses in Snow, which I also grew, but which did not do well here.
Key to My Heart is very photogenic. It blooms in mid to late April and into May here. It has reached is registered height.
The plant is a slow increaser, like its parent Whooperee, which I also grow. I counted three fans on Key to My Heart this morning before writing this review. It has not yet rebloomed for me either. I am hoping it will with some alfalfa pellets and fertilizer.
It produced one proliferation in its first season here, but none this last season. As it settles in, I am hoping for improved performance, but the plant will always stay in my garden.
