Vicki and Caroline, glad you enjoyed this month's article. I hope those lily beetles are stopped in their tracks before they reach your area, Caroline.

After writing this article, I learned that the species name nanus used by the supplier of my glads is used by many retailers as a catch-all term for glads that are now listed under other names. There are so many name changes and synonyms for plants at the moment that it can get quite confusing. The red glad with the white picotee edge is called 'Atom' and is also listed as Babiana nana ). The others are listed in our database as Gladiolus dalenii (Parrot Gladiola (Gladiolus dalenii)).
