Springcolor, the variegated petunia (Color Splash) is cool.
Karen, most of the Easy Waves are daylight neutral, but the Waves are more sensitive to the shorter days. Tidal waves seem to keep going. Sad to hear about your weather and how it has affected your gardening this year.

Black Velvet: That variety will have blooms that have a yellow streak. I'm not sure if it is a temperature thing or what, but it will do that. There is another black petunia called Black Satin from Dummen Red Fox. Black Satin doesn't have the yellow streak issue and it is a Semi mounding petunia that looks awesome in a hanging basket. The Black Velvet from Ball Hort is an upright petunia, so it doesn't "hangle-dangle"

The best blues for petunias this year in my yard are Surprise Marine Blue and Dreams Sky Blue I will post some photos tomorrow. Yes most Blue petunias look like a deep royal purple and Petunia Purple looks fuchsia
